TempToFT Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and energetic Welder/Fabricator/Fitter to join our dynamic manufacturing and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and efficiency. You will work on diverse projects, including ductwork, piping, sheet metal structures, and custom fabrications, ensuring all work meets safety standards and quality specifications. Responsibilities - Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide fabrication and assembly processes. - Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and welding techniques to join various metals according to project specifications. - Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal components. - Measure materials accurately using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools; perform basic math calculations to ensure proper dimensions. - Operate rigging equipment and forklifts safely for material handling and assembly tasks on construction sites or manufacturing floors. - Fabricate ductwork, pipe threading, sheet metal structures, and mechanical assemblies in accordance with ASME codes & standards. - Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and conducting routine inspections of tools and equipment. - Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while ensuring quality standards are upheld throughout the fabrication process. Qualifications - Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety procedures in industrial environments. - Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW welding techniques; experience with welding preferred. - Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately; familiarity with mechanical knowledge is essential. - Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment. - Experience with rigging operations including crane use; knowledge of pipe threading and ductwork fabrication is a plus. - Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks. - Familiarity with schematics for mechanical assemblies; ability to interpret technical instructions effectively. - Valid certification or demonstrated experience in welding (including ASME standards), machining, soldering or related fields is highly desirable.
