Position: School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Lake Hughes
Step into a dynamic role supporting students from transitional kindergarten through 12th grade in a vibrant, close-knit district serving approximately 3,650 learners. Based onsite, youll collaborate across two campusesa bustling elementary school and a forward-thinking high schoolproviding speech-language services that range from general education needs to moderate/severe disabilities. Work closely with dedicated teachers, families, and other educational professionals while addressing a diverse caseload for the academic year, from August through early June.
This contract position is ideal for travel professionals seeking a rewarding experience in school-based speech-language pathology. You'll have an opportunity to make a significant impact in a district committed to fostering each students growth.
Key Qualifications
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid CCC-SLP credential required;
California licensure in good standing
- Experience working in school-based settings, preferably with TK-12 populations
- Strong diagnostic, intervention, and documentation skills
- Ability to manage a caseload of up to 60 students, addressing mild to more intensive needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a flexible, positive approach
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
- Deliver individualized and group therapy for students, from elementary through high school
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate case files and progress reports
- Engage with staff and families to support student outcomes
- Stay current on best practices and compliance standards
