This role supports the assembly of copper bus required for electrical equipment. The overall objective of this position is to provide high quality craftsmanship when assembling copper bus and similar conductive material using best in class installation techniques in order to contribute to a team focused on achieving industry leading cycle time, delivering superior quality, and assisting in reducing per unit costs. Consistent and accurate representation of the Mission Critical Group brand, mission, vision, values, and organizational strategy are essential to achieving the goals of the organization.

Schedule: Monday to Friday 6am to 4pm | Occasional Saturdays

Accountabilities

Demonstrate an entry‐level of proficiency in executing workmanship on all production projects to include large line‐ ups and complex sections in areas of assembling and installing copper bus into enclosures, per drawing packages and instructions defined by the Engineering Department.

Install and mount conductive material into electrical enclosures by reading and comprehending schematics or documents, under supervision and guidance from senior team members, to efficiently build customized equipment in order to meet and exceed deadlines.

Perform daily tasks with safe and proper use of equipment and tools, including tape measures, drills, hand power tools, overhead cranes, pallet jacks, and saw horses.

Interpret and apply basic knowledge of manufacturing and principles while reading specifications to make determinations on bussing parts, methods, and sequencing.

Maintain a safe, clean and well‐organized work area by complying with safety procedures, rules, quality standards and best practices, and relying on pre‐established guidelines or directions from senior team members to perform tasks optimally.

Maintain operational excellence by completing necessary paperwork such as Engineering Corrective Reports, Non‐ conformance Reports, Corrective Action Reports, and Material Transfer Requests.

Required Knowledge / Experience

0-1 year of work experience assembling copper bus, or similar materials, into electrical control equipment in a manufacturing facility required.

Production and Processing: Knowledge or raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

Mechanical: Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Tools include: screw drivers, ratchet and sockets, crimpers, wiring cutters, tape measures, ban saws, air tools, and inspection mirror.

Active Listening: The ability to give full attention to when others speak and taking time to understand the points being made; asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.

Verbal & Written Communication Skills: The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand and the ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand.

Production and Processing: Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

Arm-Hand Steadiness: The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position

Design: Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models.

Math Skills: This position requires intermediate math skills (calculate figures/discounts, proportions, area, etc.)

Multi-limb Coordination: The ability to coordinate two or more limbs (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while sitting, standing or lying down. It does not involve performing the activities while the whole body is in motion.

Near Vision: The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).

Customer & Service Orientation: The ability to initiate and actively seek ways to help people.

Education

High School Diploma or GED required.
