Mental Health Counselor/Social Worker (licensed or associate level)

• We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Counselor/Social Worker at the licensed or associate level to join our dynamic behavioral health team. Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans.
• Provide individual, group, family, and child counseling sessions focused on mental health issues such as PTSD, grief, addiction, gender identity concerns, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and chronic pain management.
• Deliver crisis management services by responding promptly to urgent situations with effective crisis intervention techniques and behavior management strategies.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations while ensuring confidentiality of medical records and medical terminology accuracy.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for case management, patient care coordination, and research initiatives to improve clinical outcomes.
• Utilize telehealth platforms to extend services remotely while adhering to clinical research standards and CPT coding requirements for billing purposes.

Requirements

• Valid licensure or associate-level certification in social work or mental health counseling from an accredited program.
• Experience working with children, individuals with disabilities—including autism—and geriatrics in outpatient or inpatient settings.
• Proficiency in psychotherapy modalities such as motivational interviewing, behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and addiction counseling.
• Knowledge of ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for diagnostic evaluation and medical documentation purposes.
• Strong skills in crisis intervention, crisis management, behavior management, and patient assessment.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of medical records and patient information.
• Experience with telehealth technology platforms is preferred; prior hospital experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills combined with a compassionate approach to patient care—especially when working with individuals facing complex mental health or developmental challenges.
