Provides general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care in diverse, acute health care settings. The department operates 24/7/365.
The RN is accountable for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing, delegates nursing tasks to licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and unlicensed assistive personnel (UAPs) in accordance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, and provides professional nursing care per department policies and standards.
Responsibilities and Duties
Assessment/Diagnosis (30%) – Performs initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessments applicable to the population or individual.
Outcomes Identification/Planning (30%) – Documents planned nursing interventions to achieve outcomes based on nursing diagnoses and collaborative problems.
Implementation/Evaluation (20%) – Evaluates and documents responses to interventions and revises the plan of care based on data.
Leadership (10%) – Actively participates in process improvement activities to achieve targeted measures of clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
Operations (10%) – Performs operational duties.

Minimum Qualifications
Current registered nurse license from the State of Ohio
BLS certification
BSN required within 5 years of employment
