This is a unique, flexible opportunity for an educator who is passionate about helping students develop functional life skills and achieve meaningful progress through individualized instruction.
Special Education Teacher Job Description:
Homebound Instruction 7th Grade Student
Provide individualized instruction to a middle school student receiving homebound educational services.
Focus on functional academics, independent living skills, and individualized educational goals.
Adapt instruction and learning activities to align with the student's unique strengths, needs, and IEP goals.
Monitor student progress and maintain documentation as required.
Collaborate with the student's educational team and family to support ongoing success.
Requirements:
Active California Education Specialist Credential Extensive Support Needs (ESN) / Moderate/Severe
Experience supporting students with significant disabilities and functional skill development preferred
Strong communication, collaboration, and progress-monitoring skills
Schedule & Compensation:
Part-Time
Approximately 1.5 hours per week
MondayFriday scheduling flexibility
Up to $150 per hour
