See Yourself as a Financial Analyst

The Financial Analyst on the FP&A team will work closely with key business unit leaders as a partner to assist with forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning, with a focus on managing expenses for our technology organization. You will also be responsible for analyzing financial data, creating reports, and identifying trends that will help the organization make informed business decisions related to expense management.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with the development of annual expense budgets and monthly forecasts
  • Analyze financial data related to expenses, including salaries, headcount, and other related expenses, to identify trends and provide insights into the business
  • Partner directly with leaders across the organization's business to provide financial insight and drive results
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making related to expense management
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives related to expense management
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly financial reports and presentations for management related to expense management
  • Monitor performance against budget/forecast related to expenses and provide explanations for variances
  • Assist with the development of long-term strategic plans related to expense management
  • Perform other duties as assigned or apparent.

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Education and Prior Work-Related Experience :

  • Degree Requirement: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience
  • Work Experience: 2 or more years of prior work-related experience

Additional Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in an FP&A role focused on expense management for a technology organization
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • At least intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required
  • Data retrieval skills such as SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, SAS, or other reporting/retrieval skills is a plus
  • Experience with Oracle Financials and Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Services (PBCS) a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with financial modeling and forecasting related to expense management
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial statement analysis
  • Must be coachable, eager to learn, and intellectually curious, willing and able to apply logic and problem-solving skills to complex Finance business problems, look beyond the obvious to get to root causes, develop insight into problems and issues.
  • Effectively execute on plans, drive results, and take accountability for outcomes.
