Physical Therapist Assistant
At WelbeHealth, each participant of our program is guided by our interdisciplinary team (IDT) – composed of clinical and non-clinical members who work cohesively to provide quality patient-centered care. The WelbeHealth Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) is an integral part of the IDT, collaborating with other members of the Rehabilitation team to implement care plans and provide direct care to participants. Under the direction of a Physical Therapist, the PTA provides restorative and rehabilitative physical therapy services to participants at the center and in their homes to maximize independence, safety, and to develop or restore function.
This role is different because PTAs at WelbeHealth:
Form long-term relationships with participants rather than short-term rehab stints

- 17 days of personal time off (PTO), 12 holidays observed annually, and 6 sick days
- Comprehensive compensation package including base pay and bonus
- Coordinate with other members of the Rehabilitation team to implement activities and programs based on the participants' individual treatment plans
Document physical therapy interventions in accordance with established care plans including but not limited to active and passive exercise, muscle re-education, gait, functional training of ADLs, and treatments (e.g., massage, heat, sound, water, light, or electricity)
PTA associate's degree from an accredited program
Valid PTA license, or proof of license eligibility
Minimum of two (2) years of PTA experience in a clinical setting with a frail or elderly population
PTA knowledge necessary to treat frail, elderly participants with complex needs
We are seeking PTAs that ideally have outpatient, acute, inpatient, or skilled nursing experience. Compensation consists of base salary plus bonus.
