Job Title: Electrical Apprenticeship Instructor (Part-Time, Evening)

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Electrical Apprenticeship Instructor to join our team. This part-time position requires teaching one evening per week, providing instruction to aspiring electricians enrolled in our apprenticeship program. The ideal candidate is a licensed electrician with a passion for education and a commitment to fostering the next generation of skilled professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and comprehensive instruction on electrical code, theory, safety practices, practical skills, etc. to apprenticeship students.

Develop instructional materials in alignment with the program curriculum and industry standards.

Demonstrate exercises to ensure students understand key electrical concepts and practices.

Evaluate student progress through assignments, assessments, and participation, providing constructive feedback.

Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment, emphasizing adherence to electrical codes and safety regulations.

Collaborate with program coordinators and other instructors to support student success and program goals.

Required:

Licensed electrician (Journeyman or Supervisor) with a minimum of 3 years of field experience.

Deep understanding of electrical codes, standards, and safety practices.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Must have ONLY non-union affiliations

Preferred:

Prior teaching or training experience in a classroom or apprenticeship setting.

Proficiency with basic computer tools for lesson preparation and communication.

Schedule and Compensation:

Classes run September-June

1-2 summer training sessions

1-2 fall and spring training sessions

Compensation starts at $67.62 per hour

Commitment:

One evening per week (typically 4 hours).
