Since 1982, our Michigan based construction company has been performing Construction Management, General Contracting and trade work for project partners on commercial, institutional and governmental projects.
Position Summary:
This is a key administrative role within the company, providing general office support and serving as a main point of contact for visitors, contractors, professional service providers and business partners. This position requires professional and courteous conduct at all times, along with excellence in customer service delivery.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office and it’s personnel
- Process day-to-day administrative items; front desk, phones, email, mail, shipping, photocopying, filing, office supplies
- Procure and maintain documentation for bid opportunities, maintain bid list and prepare bid documents
- Organize and maintain electronic filing system including online plan room for bid documents
- Plan, prioritize, and organize work to meet multiple deadlines while managing a variety of tasks each day
- Prepare bid requests, job set ups, correspondence, purchase orders, meeting minutes, change requests, RFI’s and submittals for project managers
- Assist with special projects as needed
Qualifications:
- High School degree with a minimum 6+ years experience.
- Proficient with Outlook, Word and Excel
- Communication skills, both verbally and in writing, to enable clear and effective interaction with clients, contractors, and colleagues,
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to multi-task and work productively
Additional Skills and Information:
- Experience working in a construction firm preferred
- Working knowledge of the following is a plus: Foundation, Procore, Autodesk Build, Microsoft Project
