Century Construction is seeking an experienced, dependable, and motivated Residential / Light Commercial Carpenter to join our growing team. Position Summary

The Carpenter will perform a wide range of residential and light commercial construction tasks, including new construction, remodeling, renovations, and finish work. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes pride in quality workmanship and can work independently as well as with a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform residential and light commercial framing, finish carpentry, and remodeling work.
• Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
• Install doors, windows, trim, cabinetry, siding, flooring, and other finish materials.
• Complete demolition, layout, framing, and structural repairs as needed.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely.
• Ensure all work meets company quality standards and applicable building codes.
• Maintain a clean and organized job site.
• Communicate professionally with customers, subcontractors, and team members.
• Assist with other construction tasks as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of residential carpentry experience (light commercial experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building practices.
• Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings.
• Experience with framing, finish carpentry, and remodeling.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating construction equipment.
• OSHA certification (preferred but not required).
• Ability to perform multiple trades such as drywall, painting, or flooring is a plus.
