Accounting Assistant
Overview
This entry‑level Accounting Assistant role supports B2B collections, credit, and accounts receivable functions while providing clear, professional communication to internal teams and customers. Responsibilities
- Support daily collections and credit activities to manage outstanding customer balances.
- Assist with accounts receivable tasks, including updating and tracking customer payment information.
- Contact customers by phone and email to follow up on payments and resolve billing questions.
- Partner with sales and customer service teams to coordinate account‑related information.
- Perform accurate data entry of financial and customer information.
- Stay organized while managing multiple accounts, tasks, and follow‑ups.
- Document customer interactions and next steps clearly.
- Collaborate with the accounting and credit teams to support department goals.
Essential Skills
- Foundational accounting knowledge or strong interest in accounting/finance.
- Accurate and efficient data entry skills.
- Clear, professional communication—both phone and email.
- Strong soft skills: professionalism, reliability, and customer‑focused mindset.
- High level of organization and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Comfort working in a role that includes collections and credit activities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in accounting, finance, or business (or any accounting & finance related internship/experience)
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external customers.
- Interest in building a career in accounting, credit, or collections.
- Willingness to work onsite five days per week initially.
- Openness to learning new systems and processes in a fast‑paced environment.
Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
