Schimenti Construction is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to support night shifts (8:30pm-8:00am) at a retail construction project in Clifton Park, New York. As a Superintendent, you will provide leadership and supervision at a Schimenti construction site and ensure consistent safety measures are observed by all team members.
Responsibilities:
Oversee field operations of commercial construction projects
Manage subcontractors, laborers, and others at the job site
Communicate professionally and effectively with clients and teams
Daily interaction and communication with Field and Project Management standpoint
Coordinate task completion and schedules with trade partners
Verify dimensions and layouts
Ensure all submittals are completed in a timely manner
Maintain daily focus on job site safety and ensure security of project perimeter
Responsible for updating daily logs and photos
Coordinate site testing and inspection efforts
Monitor project costs, which include labor time and materials
Attend and participate in required weekly project and subcontractor meetings
Qualifications and Experience
Proven experience managing complex commerical construction projects on short timetables
Strong multi-tasking and time management skills
Demonstrate proficiency in reading commercial construction plans and specifications
Collaborative and team-oriented
High school diploma required, trade school or college education preferred
10 or 30 Hour OSHA Construction Safety Certificate
Ability to work with tools to perform various phases of construction work is a plus
Software Systems:
Microsoft Office experience required
Procore experience highly preferred
Timberline/Sage experience preferred
Basic working knowledge of Zoom or MS Teams
