Job Description
CSCI Consulting is seeking an experienced SAP Functional Consultant – Materials Management (MM) to support a mission-critical SAP S/4HANA transformation within the Joint Transportation Management System (JTMS) program. This role will support the design, configuration, implementation, and sustainment of procurement, inventory management, and supply chain capabilities within a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
You will collaborate with functional leads, business stakeholders, and technical teams to modernize and optimize logistics and procurement operations aligned with mission requirements.
Responsibilities
Configure and support SAP S/4HANA MM processes, including procurement, inventory, valuation, and purchasing
Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional designs, configurations, and technical specifications
Support integration across SAP modules including SD, FI/CO, EWM, TM, and EAM
Participate in Fit-to-Standard workshops, process design sessions, and solution demonstrations
Develop functional design documents (FDDs), test scripts, user guides, and training materials
Partner with technical teams to define requirements for enhancements, interfaces, and custom developments
Execute testing (unit, SIT, UAT), support defect resolution, and provide production support
Support data migration activities for material, vendor, procurement, and inventory data
Assist with deployment, release management, and post-production stabilization
Provide Tier II/Tier III support and troubleshoot functional issues
Participate in Agile ceremonies and support ATO, cybersecurity, and audit activities
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of SAP functional experience in MM
Experience implementing or supporting SAP S/4HANA
Strong knowledge of procurement, purchasing, inventory management, and master data (material/vendor)
Experience developing functional specifications for SAP enhancements
Experience supporting testing, defect resolution, and production support
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
Creativity and adaptability in problem-solving
Ability to work with clients to understand their needs
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Professional presence
Preferred Skills
Experience supporting DoD or Federal ERP programs
Experience with SAP Activate and Agile/Scrum delivery methods
Experience integrating MM with SAP solutions such as: SAP Ariba, EWM, TM, FI/CO, SD
Experience with SAP Fiori, Solution Manager, or SAP Cloud ALM
Understanding of transportation, logistics, and supply chain processes
Active Secret clearance
Certifications Preferred: SAP S/4HANA Materials Management Certification, Agile certifications (CSM, SAFe, etc.), Security+
Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
Strong customer and vendor relationship skills
Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies
Motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate value
Past experience working with a Federal agency
Department of War experience is a plus!
