Location: Dallas, TX

Pay: $82,000 to $124,000/year

Experience: 3+ years of progressive accounting or financial analysis experience.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Type: Full-time; Direct Hire

Schedule: Monday - Friday

ProRecruiters is seeking an Accountant (Oil & Gas) to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description

  • Prepare, analyze, and interpret financial reports, forecasts, budgets, reconciliations, and accounting schedules.
  • Evaluate financial data and provide insights and recommendations to support strategic business decisions.
  • Perform complex financial calculations, including depreciation, financial ratios, budget analysis, tax-related entries, and billing adjustments.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, billing, and ongoing financial operations.
  • Maintain accurate financial records while ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls.
  • Research accounting and financial issues, document findings, and present recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, auditors, regulatory agencies, and business partners to resolve financial matters.
  • Interpret accounting guidelines, policies, and regulations while communicating their impact across the organization.
  • Mentor and support junior team members while helping coordinate priorities and workflow.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness of financial operations.
  • Apply strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills to support business objectives.

Position Requirements

  • Experience preparing and analyzing financial reports, budgets, forecasts, reconciliations, and accounting analyses.
  • Knowledge of accounting standards, financial regulations, and corporate policies.
  • Experience supporting financial planning, reporting, billing, and budgeting processes.
  • Ability to research financial issues and develop clear reports, recommendations, and documentation.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Previous mentoring, leadership, or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and experience with financial systems or ERP platforms.
