Entry-Level Construction Laborers, Cable Pullers, Technicians - $20-25/hr

Job Title: Construction Laborers, Cable Pullers, Technicians (Data Center or Commercial Environment)

Shift: Multiple

Location: Richmond, VA

Duration: 2-3 month contract

Start Date: June 2026

Job Summary/Responsibilities:

• Cable Pullers will have general labor experience (electrical/telecom experience preferred)
• Candidates must have their own safety gear set (hard hat, vest, boots, gloves, glasses)
• Candidates must have their own telecom hand tools for cabling (Punch down, snips/wire strippers, crimpers, and basic toner/tester preferred)
• Prior construction and commercial experience preferred
• Ability to analyze and solve problems for troubleshooting
• Experience with pulling fiber and doing cross-connects highly preferred
• Flexibility to work additional shifts if required

Requirements:

• Daily attendance and punctuality at the work site
• Ability to take direction from management and keep tasks within timeline
• Must be able to lift 50lbs+
• Ability to follow blueprints/schematics
• Your own basic hand tools and safety gear required
• Work on ladders/lifts as needed
• osha10 or higher prior to start up

Essential Functions of the job:

• Lifting, carrying, adjusting, moving and/or transporting of objects up to 50 pounds
• Walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, maintaining balance and/or crawling for extended periods
• Pushing and pulling of arms and legs; use of abdominal and lower back muscles
• Coordinating movements of the eyes, hands, fingers and feet
• Ascending and descending of stairs, ladders, lifts, etc.
• Speaking, hearing and seeing to avoid safety hazards
• Strenuous manual labor

The environment for this job will involve:

• Hot and/or cold temperatures
• Uneven terrain and/or obstacles
• Interactions with other individuals
• Loud noises
• Large machinery
