Clinical Technician / Customer Service Representative (Contract-to-Hire)

About the Role

AdaptHealth is seeking a Clinical Technician (ClinTech) to support our Respiratory Therapy team by delivering, setting up, and educating patients on home medical equipment. This is a hands-on, patient-facing role that combines customer service, technical support, and healthcare exposure.

You’ll split your time between the branch location and occasional travel to hospitals and assisted living facilities, helping patients safely use essential respiratory equipment.

👉 No prior equipment experience required—training is provided.

🕒 Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

What You’ll Do

• Set up and demonstrate respiratory equipment (CPAP, BiPAP, oxygen, nebulizers, etc.)
• Educate patients and caregivers on proper use, cleaning, and troubleshooting
• Explain insurance coverage and patient financial responsibility in a clear, supportive way
• Work closely with Respiratory Therapists and internal teams
• Complete delivery tickets, safety checklists, and required documentation accurately
• Travel locally (typically within 1–2 hours) to patient locations as needed
• When onsite visits are not required, assist with:
• Answering inbound/outbound calls
• Processing orders and scheduling deliveries
• Verifying patient and insurance information

What You Bring (Required)

• 1–3 years of customer service or administrative experience (office, medical, or insurance setting)
• Strong communication skills and confidence working one-on-one with customers
• Ability to learn and explain technical medical equipment
• High attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Empathy and patience when working with patients
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, data entry)
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to assist patients into a seated position

Work Environment

• Combination of in-office work and on-site patient visits
• Travel may vary (from minimal to multiple visits per day depending on demand)
• Business casual attire or scrubs; closed-toe shoes required

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Berlin, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
