Organization: Boise City / Ada County Housing Authorities (BCACHA)

Type: Full-Time, 10-hour shifts from Monday – Thursday

Salary: From $45,841.00

Do you have a passion for public service? The Boise City / Ada County Housing Authorities are currently seeking an Administrative Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this customer-facing role, you will be a crucial part of our front-line team, ensuring positive interactions and providing essential assistance to our clients.

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking an Administrative Support Specialist to join our team. Duties will include answering incoming calls and providing general program information and requirements, greeting clients, tenant accounts receivable and rent rolls, sorting and distributing mail, ordering office supplies, and collections. In addition, this position will provide clerical support to the various departments within BCACHA. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused mindset. The individuals we serve are seeking housing and community assistance, and the successful candidate will contribute to making a positive impact on their lives during difficult situations.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Answer incoming calls, providing program information and requirements to clients, landlords, and the general public

Greet and assist clients in a professional and friendly, compassionate manner

Manage tenant accounts receivable, collections for landlord and tenant overpayments

Maintain spreadsheets and databases with accuracy

Provide clerical support to different departments within the Housing Authorities

Perform basic bookkeeping tasks

Conduct data entry tasks efficiently

Sort and distribute mail efficiently

Collect rent funds and prepare daily deposits

Maintain and order office supplies as necessary

Qualifications:

Servicefocused mindset with a genuine desire to assist the community

Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment

Ability to work effectively and professionally with a diverse clientele

Strong organizational and prioritization skills

Clear and concise communication skills, both orally and in writing

Previous experience in administrative support, preferably in a nonprofit setting

Basic bookkeeping, spreadsheet, and data entry skills
