Heavy Equipment Operator/Forklift

Luxor Staffing is hiring a Heavy Equipment/Forklift Operator paying up to $22 per hour with 1st and 2nd shift available. Weekly pay, possible overtime, optional direct deposit, benefits from day 1 on the job and much more!

Job duties:

• Operate large-capacity forklifts to safely transport, load, unload, and stage steel pipe.
• Handle pipe ranging from 20 to 50 feet in length throughout the yard.
• Operate equipment safely on uneven outdoor terrain, including dirt surfaces, gravel, and areas with potholes.
• Work effectively with one or two spotters when moving long or oversized loads.
• Identify and verify pipe using heat numbers, size, grade, and other identifying information.
• Perform shipping and receiving activities, including verifying order accuracy and preparing materials for shipment.
• Read and interpret shipping documents, order sheets, and inventory information.
• Utilize tablets and other digital tools for inventory, shipping, and receiving processes.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and operational procedures.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions while maintaining productivity and safe work practices.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience operating large-capacity forklifts in a pipe yard or similar industrial environment.
• Experience handling long steel pipe or similar oversized materials.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts on uneven outdoor terrain.
• Experience working with spotters during material movement.
• Knowledge of pipe identification, including heat numbers.
• Experience with shipping and receiving processes.
• Ability to read work orders, shipping documents, and inventory records.
• Basic proficiency using tablets or other electronic devices.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed and work outdoors for extended periods.
