CNC Machinist - Full Time/ Permanent

Seeking a skilled machinist to set up, operate, and inspect tight-tolerance parts in an advanced manufacturing environment. This full-time position involves hands-on CNC machining, inspection, and continuous learning, with opportunities to expand into advanced programming and multi-axis work.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes, adapting to new machines and controllers as needed.

Prepare tooling, stock, and work offsets, and verify setup conditions for safe and accurate machining.

Run and prove out CNC programs, making careful adjustments and basic program edits under guidance.

Machine tight-tolerance parts from stainless steel, titanium, aluminum, and other engineering materials.

Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using manual and advanced inspection tools.

Read and interpret technical drawings, GD&T, setup sheets, and CAD/CAM outputs.

Support manual machining tasks and maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.

Assist with urgent projects requiring occasional paid overtime and take on additional technical tasks as needed.

Qualifications

3+ years of CNC machining experience required; 5+ years preferred.

Proven ability to set up and operate CNC mills or lathes with limited supervision.

Skilled in reading prints and understanding GD&T requirements.

Experience making tight-tolerance metal parts and inspecting own work; preferred experience with stainless steel, titanium, and other challenging metals.

Proficient with manual inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc.); experience with CMMs and vision systems is a plus.

Ability to make careful offsets, tool adjustments, and basic troubleshooting decisions.

Strong attention to detail, reliability, curiosity, and willingness to learn and grow.

Must be a U.S. person (U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident) due to export control requirements.
