Canyon Building & Design, LLC seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager.

Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of the project including profitability, schedule adherence, conformance to specs and drawings and customer expectations

Work with Superintendent and Project Coordinators to develop the project plan, means and methods, recordkeeping and monitor the project schedule

Develop recovery strategies when project schedule or budget are in jeopardy

Manage in coordination with team an estimate, buyout, budget and schedule for clients

Maintain awareness of current marketplace and trends to gain and maintain our competitive advantage

Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, public and project teams

Process all change orders, including negotiating and assessing cost and schedule impact

Manage all facets of project close-out, including archiving of documents, maintenance and warranty manuals, deficiencies, and warranty work

Complete project estimate from start to finish including but not limited to: review specs, send out request for quotes, perform take offs, compile subcontractor quotes, and write up estimates

Control project cost through a combination of industry methods to ensure financial performance on the project

Identify and implement opportunities for value engineering, cost reductions, increased profitability, and continual process improvement

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of delivery methods which should include contractor led Design Build
  • Extensive knowledge in the review and negotiation of contracts for construction projects
  • Excellent communication skills oral and written
  • The ability to work within a team environment and encourage participation from all tiers of staff.
  • The ability to resolve complex problems with psychology, intuition leadership and mentorship.
  • The ability to manage and motivate, including conflict resolution.
  • The ability to produce timely and professional business correspondence Practice servant leadership in all areas of business
  • A calm demeanor and the ability to function professionally in stressful environments Knowledge of Procore, TimberScan, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, Outlook)

Education & Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in related field.

  • Completed OSHA 10 or 30-hour safety course; First Aid/CPR certification is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
