What You'll Do
You'll provide hands-on, non-medical support that helps clients with Dementia, Alzheimer's, ALS, and Parkinson's disease live safely and comfortably in their own homes. Day to day, that looks like:
- Assisting with personal care: bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene
- Supporting mobility, transfers, and safe redirection for memory care clients
- Meal preparation and feeding assistance
- Light housekeeping, errands, grocery runs, and prescription pick-ups
- Transportation to appointments and outings
- Monitoring client wellbeing and communicating changes to the care team
- Most importantly — being a consistent, calming presence clients and families can count on
What We're Looking For
- Prior caregiving experience, especially with neurodegenerative or memory care clients
- Patience, reliability, and genuine compassion
- Strong communication skills with clients, families, and team members
- Ability to follow and adapt to individualized care plans
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check and provide a current TB test
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience with safe transfer techniques
- Familiarity with memory care best practices
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills
