Server Position Summary:

The Server ensures all guests are provided with prompt and friendly service according to Sen of Japan standards. The Server describes menu items, assists guests in making food and beverage selections, accurately takes / submit orders, delivers food and beverages, processes payments, and assists fellow team members to ensure overall guest satisfaction.

Knowledge in Japanese Cuisine and Sushi Bar is preferred!!!

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must possess great communication skills, teamwork, and willingness to learn.
  • Must be professional, presentable, with a positive outgoing personality that can create a memorable dining experience.
  • POS experienced with attention to detail regarding food & beverage MENU items.
  • Able to multitask, works well under pressure, and maintaining cleanliness at all times.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team, and works well under pressure.
  • Must be able to assist guests and possess great guest relation skills
  • Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team
  • Ability to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. as needed

**Must have Nevada Health and TAM cards**

**Must obtain permission to work legally in the U.S.**

OVERALL Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills (via phone and in-person)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire dining and bar area

Sen of Japan Restaurant is looking for candidates to fill a SUSHI CHEF position. Candidates must be able to perform duties as required:

Sushi Chef Duties and Requirements:

  • Expertly cutting, slicing, and filleting different types of fish.
  • Knows and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, prepping methods, quality standards and bar rules, policies and procedures.
  • Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period.
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area at all times.
  • Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes.
  • Handles, stores, and rotates all products properly.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in sushi bar, Japanese preferred!!!
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with other staff and managers.

We are looking for a Host or Hostess to join our team and be the first point of contact for our guests.

Host/Hostess responsibilities include greeting guests, providing accurate wait times and escorting customers to the dining and sushi bar areas. For this role, you should have solid organizational and people skills to make sure our guests have a positive dining experience from the moment they arrive till their departure. Ultimately, you’ll ensure we provide excellent customer service and a pleasant dining experience to our guests.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests to the venue
  • Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists
  • Manage reservations
  • Escort customers to assigned dining or bar areas
  • Provide menus and announce Waiter/Waitress’s name
  • Greet customers upon their departure
  • Coordinate with wait staff about available seating options
  • Communicate with wait staff regarding reservation turn overs
  • Maintain a clean reception area
  • Cater to guests who require extra attention (e.g. children, elderly)
  • Answer incoming calls and address customers’ queries
  • Assist wait staff as needed
