Staff Tax Accountant

Staff Accountant – Tax opportunity now available with a highly respected and community-focused public accounting firm in Modesto, CA!

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to grow a long-term career in public accounting while gaining exposure to tax, client advisory services, accounting, and audit work — all within a collaborative and supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Preparing individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns
• Supporting tax planning and client advisory services
• Working directly with clients to review financial information
• Assisting with audit, review, and compilation engagements during the off-season
• Preparing financial statements and reconciliations

Requirements

• 3+ years of public accounting experience with tax exposure
• Experience preparing a high volume of tax returns
• CPA preferred, but strong tax experience or EA designation considered
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
• Experience with Lacerte is a plus
