Speech Language Pathologist - Active Caseload

Location: Houston, TX, 77098

Position Summary

Momentum Therapy Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our pediatric therapy team on a Pay-Per-Visit (PPV) basis. The SLP is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating pediatric patients with speech, language, communication, voice, fluency, feeding, and swallowing disorders.

This position offers flexibility while providing the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and their families.

Essential Job Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations using standardized and non-standardized assessment tools.
  • Develop individualized, evidence-based plans of care based on clinical findings.
  • Provide direct therapy services in accordance with established treatment plans.
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as clinically appropriate.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on diagnosis, prognosis, and home exercise programs.
  • Complete all required clinical documentation in an accurate, timely, and compliant manner.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state, and payer regulations, including Medicaid and commercial insurance requirements.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated patient care.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and quality improvement activities as required.
  • Maintain professional, ethical, and legal standards of practice at all times.

Patient Population

  • Primary Population: Pediatric patients, including but not limited to:
  • Speech sound disorders
  • Expressive and receptive language disorders
  • Autism spectrum disorder
  • Feeding and oral-motor disorders
  • Fluency disorders
  • Voice and resonance disorders
  • Secondary Population (as needed): Adult patients, which may include:
  • Aphasia (e.g., post-stroke communication deficits)
  • Dysarthria and apraxia of speech
  • Cognitive-communication disorders (e.g., memory, attention, executive functioning deficits)
  • Voice disorders
  • Dysphagia (swallowing disorders)
  • Neurological conditions (e.g., traumatic brain injury, Parkinson’s disease)

Supervision (if applicable)

  • Provide supervision to Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) and/or Clinical Fellows (CFs) in accordance with state and regulatory requirements.
  • Review, co-sign, and oversee documentation as required.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship.
  • Current CPR certification if required.
  • Professional Liability Insurance.
