Responsibilities

  • Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
  • Assist with clinical tasks such as administering medications, providing basic life support (BLS), and supporting emergency procedures in urgent care or trauma center settings.
  • Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems to accurately document patient information, treatment plans, and billing codes.
  • Prepare examination rooms and sterilize equipment for outpatient visits or inpatient procedures in hospital or surgical settings.
  • Coordinate patient flow by scheduling appointments, confirming insurance details, and facilitating smooth patient transitions
  • Support medical administrative functions including answering patient inquiries, managing documentation for hospital medicine or medical-surgical units, and assisting with medication administration protocols.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, and medication administration procedures.
  • Familiarity with EHR systems to ensure precise documentation and efficient workflow management.
  • Ability to perform clinical tasks like vital signs collection, specimen collection, and basic emergency response techniques.
  • Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatric intensive care units (PICU).
  • Knowledge of hospital protocols across inpatient settings and outpatient clinics; experience with medical-surgical care is highly valued.
  • OBGYN experiences preferred.

Pay: $23.81 - $27.87 per hour
