Description

Provide sales and operational support to customers and internal sales teams in a technical, made-to-order environment. This is not a high-volume call center role—interactions are more complex and require critical thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and manage customer orders, including custom product requests
  • Generate quotes, track order status, and expedite as needed
  • Troubleshoot order and product issues, ensuring timely resolution
  • Communicate with customers and sales reps to clarify requirements
  • Partner with engineering, warehouse, and other internal teams to fulfill specialized requests
  • Maintain accurate records and data entry in SAP and internal systems
  • Support restocking activities and order adjustments

Training Path

  • Start in an Order Processing role focused on data entry and system learning
  • Gain product knowledge and system proficiency (SAP, internal processes)
  • Progress into a more customer-facing, problem-solving position

Systems & Tools

  • SAP
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Outlook

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ year of customer service or order entry experience
  • Strong analytical thinking and ability to learn technical products
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, email, data entry)
  • Typing speed of 45+ WPM
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience with SAP
  • 2–4 years of technical customer service experience
  • Exposure to power transmission or similar industrial products
  • Mechanical or technical aptitude (professional or personal interests such as automotive work, farming, etc.)

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waunakee, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.21 - $23.21/hr.
