Property Management - Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, appliances, and fixtures to ensure optimal operation.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, and mechanical equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
• Perform residential painting, welding, and other carpentry tasks to maintain property aesthetics and safety standards.
• Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to track work orders, schedule maintenance activities, and document repairs.
• Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed and work is completed efficiently.
• Manage electrical repairs involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs), Ohmmeters, and schematics for complex systems.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing resident concerns promptly and professionally while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Lead or support team members in supervising maintenance operations, fostering a collaborative environment focused on quality results.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities maintenance within residential or manufacturing settings.
• Proficiency in electrical systems troubleshooting, including schematics interpretation and use of tools like Ohmmeters.
• Skilled in welding, residential painting, and basic carpentry to perform diverse repair tasks.
• Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for automation troubleshooting.
• Ability to read technical schematics and mechanical drawings accurately.
• Experience with CMMS software for work order management and documentation.
• Excellent communication skills in English to coordinate with team members and residents effectively.
• Supervising or leadership experience that promotes efficient team operations while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
