Marksman Security Now Hiring for Experienced Security Officers

Ideal candidates will have previous security officer, security guard (armed or unarmed) experience, military and/or law enforcement experience.

Duties and job functions include lobby desk, patrol, control center, access control, emergency response and risk management The ideal candidates’ traits: exceptional people skills, professional image, attention to detail, takes ownership, committed to team success, outgoing, and driven.

Responsibilities:

Deter criminal activity and misconduct

Respond to alarms, calls of distress, or emergencies such as fire, injuries or presence of unauthorized persons by calling police, fire departments and/or local emergency response teams.

Makes periodic patrols to check for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons

Prepare clear, concise, accurate reports.

Operate access control systems, utilize a computer for incident reports, navigate security software systems or applications and use email.

Demonstrate strong customer service skills, professional demeanor, and appearance.

Demonstrate experience managing multiple tasks, executing radio and telephone communications and performing in a high-pressure environment

Other duties to be determined by security supervisor

Must be able to stand an walk for long periods of time

Qualifications:

Prior law enforcement experience, military and/or corrections experience

Applicants must meet one or any reasonable combination of the following requirements:

Two years of customer service experience

Two years of security experience

Law Enforcement Experience

Corrections Experience

Military Experience

Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice or something similar

Requirements:

Valid state licensing, if applicable

21 years of age and High School Diploma or equivalent

Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test.

Technology skills: operate access control system, utilize a computer for incident reports, operate security software systems or applications, use email.

Strong customer service skills, professional demeanor and appearance.

Experience managing multiple tasks, executing radio and telephone communications while performing in a medium to high pressure environment with frequently changing and/or competing demands.

Familiarity with report writing

Excellent surveillance and observation skills

Possess above average written and verbal communication skills.

Possess strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to interact effectively with client staff and the public.

Trained in CPR and First Aid preferred
