Role and Responsibilities:
The Hotel Receptionist role combines guest service excellence with overnight auditing responsibilities. This full-time position requires professionalism, accuracy, and a service-driven approach while performing front desk duties and conducting nighttime financial audits.
- Welcome guests with sincerity and genuine warmth during arrival, showing empathy and ensuring their experience is exceptional.
- Complete guest departures with a focus on satisfaction and address any concerns with understanding and professionalism.
- Perform overnight audit duties, including verifying and reconciling financial transactions from the day's operations.
- Engage with guests confidently and professionally, fulfilling special requests, resolving complaints efficiently, and providing information on hotel services, operating hours, in-house events, and staff contacts.
- Use multiple computer systems to manage guest check-ins, check-outs, room assignments, and daily reporting.
- Demonstrate strong commitment to teamwork and collaborative success.
- Process reservations, modifications, and cancellations in the absence of Reservations staff; assist with guest inquiries and call routing when Communications staff are unavailable.
- Partner with the Overnight Security Agent to maintain guest safety and secure resort grounds throughout the night.
- Move between front desk and hotel areas as required during the shift.
- Stand for the full duration of the shift.
Required Skills and Experience:
- A genuine, compassionate nature with a strong passion for hospitality, integrity, and reliability.
- Comfort expressing individuality and bringing authenticity to guest interactions.
- Ability to make informed decisions that prioritize guest needs and foster meaningful connections.
- Inspire and support coworkers to work collaboratively and succeed together.
- More than two years of professional experience in the service industry, preferably within luxury hospitality.
- Strong attention to detail, with responsibilities including auditing revenue records and processing nightly financial reports.
- Flexibility to work two overnight shifts as well as evenings, weekends, and holidays; ability to cover additional shifts as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a luxury hotel, front desk, or audit-related role.
- Confidence in using multiple software systems and multitasking during high activity periods.
