Embark on an enriching contract opportunity supporting students across the Hampton, VA region as a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA)! This role offers the chance to make a profound difference in the lives of K-12 students, collaborating with educational teams in a vibrant and diverse school community throughout southeastern Virginia.

As a full-time SLPA working 7.33 hours per day, five days each week during the 26/27 school year, youll contribute your expertise in language development and communication strategies. Services may be delivered in a variety of educational settings, with your assigned locations spanning Chesapeake, Isle of Wight County, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Southampton County, Suffolk, and Virginia Beach.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active VA SLPA license required.
  • Experience working with K-12 student populations, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with supervising SLPs, educators, and families.
  • Comfortable traveling to different assigned school sites as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) under SLP supervision.
  • Carry out speech and language interventions for students at various sites.
  • Document student progress and report findings accurately.
  • Assist with assessments and data collection as directed.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to collaborative goal-setting.
