Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic

• Trucking company located in Cincinnati Ohio seeking a full-time lead mechanic to help maintain fleet of 31 tractors and 70 trailers
• We are predominantly a Freightliner & Peterbilt fleet with sixty series Detroit engines
• Duties would include performing PM's, annual inspections about 1/3 of the time as well as routine maintenance work
• Routine maintenance & inspection of tractors would require knowledge with: differentials, transmissions, drive shafts, brake systems, electrical systems, hydraulic, HVAC systems, steering, engine items including items such as: turbo, fan clutches, injectors and cooling system
• Maintenance & inspection of trailers would require knowledge of: Axle, brake and suspension, Lighting/Electrical, Aluminum and wood flooring
• Shop assistant works 40 hours per week to assist you with cleanup, light maintenance duties, etc.
• Position would be for first shift-start and end times are negotiable-set your hours!
• Self-motivated individual with excellent organizational skills is a must
• Must have adequate computer skills and will be required to use maintenance software to track work performed
• Must have own tools

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $31.00 per hour
