We are seeking a full-time Technical Sales Engineer to develop business relationships and drive sales growth throughout the Austin/San Antonio region.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and grow a defined sales territory through direct customer engagement
- Consult with engineers and technical teams to identify equipment and testing solutions
- Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations
- Develop relationships primarily with customers in aerospace, semiconductors, and energy.
- Coordinate with manufacturer partners to support customer projects
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide monthly forecasting
- Travel throughout the territory with factory representatives to meet with customers and attend training sessions
Products & Technologies
You’ll represent industry-leading manufacturers offering:
- Environmental test chambers and vibration systems
- Industrial ovens and furnaces
- Sensors for temperature, pressure, force, torque, strain, acceleration, and displacement
- Data acquisition systems
- Programmable power supplies
- Advanced test and measurement solutions
Success in 6-12 Months Looks Like:
- Build rapport with key end users
- Develop knowledge of key product information to speak knowledgably with key points of contact
- Achieving zero past due follow-ups
- Visiting 6-8 customers every other week
- Independently hosting key Principals within the territory
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering principles
- Excellent relationship-building skills
- Self-motivation and comfort working independently
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the territory
Preferred:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field
- Technical sales experience
- Experience working with test and measurement equipment, instrumentation, and/or industrial technologies

- Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission structure (On Target Earnings of approximately $150k+)
