Inventory Accounting Manager

LHH partnering with a well-established, growing manufacturing organization to add a Inventory Accounting Manager to their team. This is a high-impact role focused on improving and building out cost accounting processes across a complex product environment.

Location: Portland – hybrid

Compensation/Benefits: $120K-140K base

What you’ll focus on:

  • Evaluate and improve existing costing methodologies, controls, and processes
  • Lead initiatives to streamline cost accounting workflows and drive efficiencies
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and finance to roll out improvements
  • Manage key areas including:
  • Standard costing and cost allocations
  • Inventory valuation and controls
  • Margin and variance analysis across multiple products and locations
  • Support monthly close activities related to inventory and cost of goods sold
  • Help establish scalable processes that support future growth

What they’re looking for:

  • 8+ years of experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong background in standard costing, inventory, and cost analysis
  • ERP experience (large ERP system with strong cost module exposure)
  • Ability to operate at both a strategic and hands-on level
  • Strong communicator—comfortable working with both finance and non-finance teams
  • CPA/CMA or public accounting background is a plus
