Registered Veterinary Technician - RVT

We are a full-service mixed animal (85% small animal, 15% large/farm animal) veterinary clinic. Our staff is committed to promoting responsible pet ownership, preventative health care, and client education. We are looking for a registered veterinary technician who is dedicated to providing the best possible medical and surgical care for our patients. Our clinic has cultivated a clientele that is compliant and kind, and our schedule is designed to ensure that lunch actually happens! We have Idexx digital radiology, Idexx in house blood machines, Idexx Sedivue, digital dental radiology, electronic medical records (ezyVet), and more! Here at CCVS we are an energetic, positive, tight-knit team that takes pride in our dedication to our clients and patients.

We are currently seeking a Full Time Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT). Our ideal candidate is someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, compassionate, friendly, a team player, and able to multitask. Candidates must be currently registered or eligible to register in the state of Ohio.

Job duties include, but not limited to:

• Obtaining and recording medical history and data
• Patient nursing care
• Preparing and reading slides under a microscope
• Anesthesia and surgery monitoring
• Diagnostic sample collection and testing, obtaining radiographs while utilizing proper ALARA guidelines
• The ability to lift and restrain patients 30 pounds and over
• Assisting with reception when needed
• Helping to educate clients about diseases, preventatives, medications, etc.
• Daily cleaning and laundry
• Sterilizing surgical instruments and wrapping surgery packs
• Filling prescriptions
• Other duties as assigned.
• Hourly rate: $22-26/hour, commensurate with experience

Schedule:

• Rotating Saturday schedule (8am-1pm)
• No on-call
• Set weekly schedule (4 day work week, mostly 8am-5pm with rotating 10am-7pm Monday shift)
