Position: Medical Assistant / MA Dermatology

Overview

Join our team as a day shift, part-time Dermatology Medical Assistant in Tulsa, OK.

Responsibilities

• Enter, maintain, and report all medical history, coding, and file claims using an Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Support patient visits by greeting patients, escorting them to exam rooms, taking vital signs, and collecting all medical information needed for the visit.
• Sterilize and prepare instruments; ensure exam rooms are disinfected, orderly, and ready for patients; provide privacy, comfort, safety, and hygiene.
• Assist in maintaining inventory and stocking supplies, instruments, and equipment for all exam rooms; keep paperwork for inventory control and review orders for completeness.
• Address and request referrals and other insurance authorizations; manage communication with pharmacies, hospitals, and labs.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Basic EMR and Microsoft Office knowledge.
• BLS certification obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer before providing direct patient care.

Preferred Requirements:

• Associate’s degree.
• Graduation from an accredited medical assistant / medical technologist program or two years of MA experience.
• Current national certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
• For OHI clinics, EMT/Paramedic qualification is acceptable.
