Responsibilities

Draw quality blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following established procedures.

Prepare and label specimens accurately for laboratory testing in accordance with safety and quality standards.

Explain procedures to patients to foster a trustful environment and ensure patient comfort during specimen collection.

Maintain precise and complete documentation for all collected specimens and related activities.

Follow safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for patients and staff.

Perform daily tasks independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating leadership qualities and process excellence.

Assist in maintaining a professional and organized clinical setting that promotes a positive experience for patients and staff alike.

Required Skills

Strong phlebotomy skills with experience drawing blood from pediatric and geriatric patients.

Excellent customer service and communication skills to create a welcoming environment for patients.

Attention to detail and accuracy in specimen collection, labeling, and record-keeping.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in keyboard and data entry tasks related to specimen and patient documentation.

Additional Skills & Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience required; over one year preferred.

Customer service experience in a retail or service setting is a plus.

Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime, based on staffing needs.
