North Carolina Licensed Accountant

Seeking a part-time North Carolina Licensed Accountant, the contract role will manage client accounting operations, proactively oversee cash management, and serve as a property management accounting specialist, primarily working remotely with occasional in-person meetings in Charlotte. Key Responsibilities Independently manage the day-to-day full accounting cycle for a portfolio of 10-15 clients, including maintaining general ledgers and performing complex reconciliations Dive deep into client portfolios to monitor cash positioning and ensure optimal financial health Act as the internal specialist for property-focused clients, managing property/tenant ledgers and ensuring data integrity in Appfolio Required Qualifications 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience in the real estate or property management sector Strong proficiency in Appfolio and QuickBooks Online, with the ability to navigate these systems independently Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Solid understanding of GAAP, general ledger maintenance, and bank/credit reconciliations Comfortable executing in a cloud-based environment with strong intermediate/advanced Excel skills
