# Amentum — Fork Truck Driver - 1st Shift (Miami, FL)
Amentum is seeking Fork Truck Drivers for our 1st Shift industrial maintenance team in Miami, FL. Typical work schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM; hours may vary based on business demand. You will work onsite as part of a team that supports warehouse and material handling needs for our client.
## Responsibilities
- Loading, unloading, shipping and receiving warehouse items.
- Transporting materials from one location to another inside and outside of facility.
- Maintain professional and courteous customer relations with clients, vendors, and internal team.
- Actively participate in safety meetings and maintain safety work practices as defined by Amentum.
- Communicate and advise MHE-related concerns to fellow employees and management.
- Other duties as assigned by manager/supervisor/lead.
## Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
- Previous forklift operation experience and ability to pass forklift certification.
- Working knowledge of power and hand tools used in building and assembling boxes.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Qualified applicants offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
- This position may require communication in English.
- Ability to obtain a security access badge at the client’s location.
## Physical Requirements
- Regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
- Regularly climb extension ladders, roof ladders, stepladders, and stairs at least 10 times during shift.
- Flexibility to bend/stoop and squat repetitively during shift.
- Ability to kneel repetitively for shift.
- Ability to move in a 90-degree fashion repetitively during shift.
- Ability to stretch/reach repetitively during shift.
- Walk extensively throughout the plant during shift.
- Use of a Company/Client approved utility knife.
- Ability to differentiate colors pertaining to wire color-coding.
- Some tasks require repetitive wrist movement.
- Ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress.
## Other Attributes
- This position may require various shifts, weekends, holidays, and alternative work schedules.
- Must be willing to work overtime when required.
## Compensation
- $17–$18 per hour (good-faith estimate; actual compensation may vary based on responsibilities, experience, location, and other factors).
