Our client, a growing aerospace and advanced manufacturing company in the Buffalo area, is looking to add an experienced Quality Inspector II to their quality team.

This is an on-site/full-time/direct-hire position

Salary based on experience: Up to $56k

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong manufacturing inspection background who enjoys working in a precision-driven environment where quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement are top priorities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections on components and finished products.
  • Inspect machined parts, welded assemblies, soldered components, and completed products to ensure compliance with engineering specifications.
  • Interpret mechanical drawings, electrical diagrams, and customer requirements.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, optical comparators, and other inspection equipment.
  • Complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) and maintain accurate inspection documentation.
  • Generate Material Review Reports (MRRs) and identify non-conforming materials.
  • Review production documentation for accuracy before product release.
  • Enter inspection results into the company's ERP system.
  • Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
  • Support audits and maintain compliance with customer and industry quality standards.

Required Experience:

  • Associate degree or at least five years of manufacturing experience in a quality inspection environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and electrical assembly documentation.
  • Experience using precision measuring tools and inspection equipment.
  • Familiarity with First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation.
  • Knowledge of IPC-A-610 and AWS inspection standards is highly desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation skills.
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, electronics, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments is a plus.

  • PCB or electronic assembly inspection
  • Weld inspection
  • Document control experience
  • Continuous improvement and quality systems knowledge
