Universal Service Recycling, Inc. (USR) is a third-generation, family-owned and operated recycling company with multiple locations throughout California and Nevada. We are seeking a motivated Excavator Operator / Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, operating heavy machinery, and being part of a fast-paced team environment. Previous recycling industry experience is preferred but not required. We provide on-the-job training for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

Safely operate excavators, material handlers, loaders, forklifts, and other heavy equipment

Load and unload scrap metal, demolition debris, and recyclable materials

Sort, process, and prepare materials for shipment

Assist with demolition and material recovery operations

Perform daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance

Follow all company safety procedures and environmental regulations

Maintain a clean and organized work area

Work effectively with dispatch, scale operators, mechanics, and yard personnel

Complete assigned tasks in a safe and productive manner

Qualifications:

Previous experience operating excavators, loaders, material handlers, or other heavy equipment preferred

Construction, demolition, recycling, mining, agriculture, or related industry experience is a plus

Strong work ethic and positive attitude

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Team player with strong communication skills

Dependable and punctual

Willingness to learn and take direction

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Valid driver's license preferred

CDL is a plus but not required
