Responsibilities
- Develop and modify CNC programs using CAM software for various machining centers, including CNC milling machines and 5-axis CNC machines
- Interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings with a strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles
- Set up CNC machines if necessary, by installing tooling, fixtures to ensure accurate machining
- Perform precision measurements during machining processes using precision measuring instruments to verify part accuracy
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards throughout all machining operations
Experience
- Proven experience as a CNC Programmer or Machinist working with CNC milling machines
- Strong knowledge of FANUC controls and programming language is highly desirable
- Proficiency in CAD for designing and interpreting technical drawings
- Hands-on experience with CAM software for programming complex parts on multi-axis CNC machines
- Mechanical blueprint interpretation skills with a solid understanding of geometry and schematics
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles to optimize processes and reduce waste
- Ability to perform precise measurements using various measurement tools and ensure quality control standards are met.
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
