Job Overview

A premier, multi-specialty Advanced Wound Care and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) medical center with an 18-year track record of clinical excellence is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team as a 1099 Independent Contractor.

In this role, you will execute clinical treatment plans designed by our Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to improve peripheral circulation, facilitate wound healing, and treat male/female pelvic floor dysfunction, incontinence, and related neuromuscular disorders. All treatments are performed in private clinical treatment rooms on standard medical tables; no heavy gym equipment or gym setup is utilized.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outpatient physical therapy interventions under the General Supervision of the Licensed Physical Therapist (PT).
  • Perform manual therapy, lymphatic drainage, and therapeutic exercises targeting lower extremity circulatory issues and pelvic floor disorders.
  • Safely apply and manage clinical modalities, including Vasopneumatic Compression Devices / Compression Boots (CPT 97016) for edema and lymphedema control.
  • Document daily patient treatment sessions, progress notes, and accurate clinical minutes within the clinic’s Practice Fusion EHR system, strictly adhering to the CMS 8-Minute Rule.
  • Collaborate with our billing department and on-site medical staff to ensure high-quality, compliant care.

Requirements:

  • Active and unencumbered Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) License in the State of Florida.
  • Active and fully updated CAQH profile (Mandatory).
  • Active individual National Provider Identifier (NPI) number.
  • Must maintain individual Professional Liability Insurance (Malpractice Insurance).
  • Prior experience or strong interest in Pelvic Floor Rehab, Wound Care, or Lymphedema management is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of outpatient documentation standards and time-based CPT billing coding.

Pay: $25.62 - $30.86 per hour
