Job Description
The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans according to the patient’s needs, goals, and physician direction. This role involves the delegation and direction of therapy services for assigned patients to ensure the design of functional treatment programs, facilitating an effective return to community activities. The therapist serves as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and themselves while upholding the organization’s Mission Statement and Core Values. Patient and employee safety is a primary focus, emphasizing compliance with safety protocols and guidelines in all work environments.
Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and utilize clinical reasoning for developing treatment plans and goals.
- Maintain accurate medical record documentation, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
- Participate in the student program, providing a positive learning environment and supervision as necessary.
- Develop and execute a personal professional development plan, pursuing ongoing education and professional growth.
- Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and maintain professional licensure while completing mandated continuing education requirements.
- Contribute to performance improvement initiatives to enhance quality of services provided.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
- 6 months to 1+ years of outpatient clinical experience.
- Current CPR certification.
