Duties

As an Electrical Team Leader, you will:

  • Determine the optimal placement of electrical distribution panels and equipment.
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment, systems, generators, and control equipment within a shipyard setting.
  • Utilize theoretical practices of the trade to resolve issues with electrical systems on nuclear vessels.
  • Operate various power tools and hand tools to manipulate electrical components effectively.
  • Diagnose and assess faulty electrical equipment to decide on the necessary repairs or replacements.

Requirements

This position requires you to:

  • Be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Be deemed suitable for federal employment.
  • Participate in the direct deposit pay program.
  • Pass the E-Verify employment verification process.
  • Complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • Obtain and maintain an appropriate security clearance.
  • Work in potentially hazardous environments, including exposure to harmful agents and noise levels.
