Coding Specialist

To support efficient billing processes, the full-time Coding Specialist will review and code patient accounts, ensuring compliance with regulations while working remotely from designated states. Key responsibilities Reviewing patient accounts for accuracy and completeness in coding Ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations related to coding practices Collaborating with healthcare providers to resolve coding discrepancies and improve documentation Required qualifications Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS, or equivalent) Experience in coding for professional billing (PB) in a healthcare setting Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems Proficiency in coding software and electronic health record systems Must reside in IL, IN, IA, WI, OH, MO, MI, or FL
