Your Role on the Team
As a Maintenance Technician II with Invitation Homes, you will perform high-quality maintenance tasks in our single-family rental homes while delivering exceptional service to our residents. Your responsibilities will include:
- Executing maintenance service requests across various fields.
- Providing outstanding customer service to enhance the living experience for all residents.
- Respecting residents' homes while conducting necessary work.
- Carrying out regular ProCare visits to perform proactive maintenance and repairs, including using mobile app checklists and scheduling follow-up visits.
- Educating residents on maintenance topics and the functional systems of their homes, ensuring clear communication of expectations.
- Conducting general property assessments during visits and alerting management of any urgent issues.
- Using technician-specific reports to identify improvement opportunities.
- Carrying out repairs in vacant homes during the market phase or turn process.
- Maintaining company tools, materials, and vehicles responsibly.
- Reviewing upcoming appointments daily to ensure readiness with necessary tools and materials.
- Adhering to all safety guidelines set by Invitation Homes.
- Performing other assigned tasks as needed.
Your Experience Includes
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 2-5+ years of proven experience in residential repairs, building maintenance, or related fields.
- OSHA 10 certification required (new hires must complete within 90 days if not already certified).
- Additional certifications are a plus, including:
- EPA Certification: Type I, Type II, and/or EPA Universal.
- HVAC Certification.
- CPO certification (pool).
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, with strong communication abilities; multilingual is a plus.
- Comfortable with mobile devices (i.e., iPad and/or iPhone) and various applications.
- Knowledge of residential construction and mechanical systems, with capability to perform general repairs in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, sheetrock, exterior structures, and minor HVAC work; some training will be available.
- Must have a valid driver's license, automobile insurance, and any required state licenses/certifications.
- Reliable attendance and availability for occasional weekends and holidays.
- Ability to provide basic hand and power tools.
- Physical capability to perform tasks involving frequent climbing, reaching, lifting, and moving loads over 50 pounds.

Salary Range
The salary for this position is $20.19 - $35.00, with potential eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will be based on skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable employment laws.
