Senior Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a respected real estate organization in Metairie, Louisiana. This position will support core accounting operations, contribute to accurate financial reporting, and partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to maintain strong financial controls. The ideal candidate brings a solid foundation in general accounting, sharp analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:• Oversee daily accounting activities to ensure transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.• Prepare and review account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve outstanding items.• Analyze financial results and explain variances to support informed business decisions.• Manage billing-related processes and help maintain accurate revenue and receivable records.• Assist with quarterly close procedures, including journal entries, supporting schedules, and reporting deliverables.• Support audit preparation by organizing documentation and responding to requests from internal or external reviewers.• Collaborate closely with accounting, administrative, operational, and executive stakeholders on financial matters and process needs.• Use Excel and accounting systems to maintain records, prepare reports, and improve reporting efficiency.
