Job description:
ABOUT RESILIENT ROOTS
Are you a fully licensed therapist who leads with the body, honors lineage, and brings a humanistic approach to your clinical work? Resilient Roots Therapeutic Services is looking for one clinician to grow with us.
Resilient Roots is a fully remote, healing-centered telehealth practice rooted in the belief that mental health care must be accessible, culturally affirming, and grounded in the full humanity of every person we serve.
We guide individuals — especially people of the global majority — in exploring and healing the full spectrum of their experiences, from intergenerational traumas to ancestral strengths. We believe healing is somatic, relational, spiritual, and generational. Our work honors the mind-body-spirit connection, the lineage we carry, and the wisdom embedded in lived experience.
We R.I.S.E. with purpose:
- Resilience — as we heal, we nourish ourselves, our families, and our communities
- Intergenerational Wisdom — honoring lessons and patterns passed down across generations
- Strength — cultivating inner fortitude on the journey of healing
- Equity & Awareness — challenging systemic barriers and centering historically marginalized perspectives
If your heart is in this work, you belong here.
THE ROLE
We are hiring one fully licensed therapist who brings clinical skill and a genuine orientation toward whole-person, body-centered, and decolonial healing. You will serve adults 18+ with a focus on BIPOC communities, adult children of immigrants, and individuals navigating complex trauma, identity, and diaspora.
This is a W-2 employee position — not a 1099 or independent contractor arrangement.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Provide 25–30 individual telehealth sessions per week via SimplePractice
- 3-5 hours of administrative (contingent on caseload)
- Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized, culturally grounded treatment plans
- Integrate somatic, mind-body, and body-centered approaches into clinical work as appropriate
- Apply decolonial and liberation-based frameworks to support clients in moving through systemic and intergenerational harm
- Complete clinical documentation within required timeframes per NC licensing board standards
- Coordinate care with outside providers and community resources as clinically indicated
- Follow RRTS crisis protocol for clients presenting with active safety concerns
- Attend monthly clinical consultation, team meetings, and supervision
WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO APPLY - A MESSAGE TO OUR CANDIDATES
We are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace. If you think you aren't perfectly qualified, we still encourage you to apply. We’re most interested in finding the best person for the job, and that person may come from a non-traditional background or possess transferable skills we haven't even thought of yet. Studies show that underrepresented groups, e.g., women and people of color] are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification. If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn't align perfectly with every point in the job description, we strongly encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the right candidate for this role!
