Job Summary

We’re looking for a reliable, hardworking Janitorial Worker to join our team long-term. Beyond core cleaning duties, we need a trusted, helping hand around campus — someone who takes ownership of the space and can be counted on day to day. This is a stable, long-term position for the right person.

Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas using proper equipment and cleaning agents
• Handle chemical cleaning agents safely, following correct protocols
• Operate floor buffers, vacuums, and other custodial equipment
• Move furniture and equipment safely, including heavy lifting as needed
• Maintain windows, walls, fixtures, and surfaces to high hygiene standards
• Assist with basic facilities upkeep — minor repairs, and promptly reporting issues
• Serve as a dependable extra set of hands for the school, helping with day-to-day tasks beyond cleaning as needed
• Follow all safety guidelines for manual handling and cleaning procedures

Qualifications

• Proven janitorial/custodial experience, ideally in an educational or commercial setting
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemical handling, and floor care (buffing/polishing)
• Comfortable with heavy lifting and industrial cleaning equipment
• Trustworthy, dependable, and proactive — someone we can rely on for years to come
• Able to work independently and follow safety protocols
• Facilities maintenance or porter experience a plus
